The brief:
To create succinct speaker profiles and summaries of the
key lectures given at Tourism South East's ‘Magnetic
South 2005’ conference on culture as a force for regeneration.
The format:
A4 16pp full-colour brochure.
The concept:
I was given full recordings of all the major lectures. From
these I took the major themes and issues and turned them
into concise, readable copy. I combined the speakers’
own words with snappy subheads, straplines and explanatory
text where necessary.
The feedback:
‘Max has a significant talent for turning the
turgid into the tantalising. He has worked with sam on our
